The moment it starts, you feel that "it's not how I expected it to be". It starts with a dull scene where you see Lawrence (Pratiek Babbar) losing his girlfriend and flying abroad. But, after sometime, it suddenly picks up when ACP Kamath (AB) enters. It doesn't lose it's pace till the end. Kamath is appointed to release Goa from drugs. He's an ex corrupted narcotics cop who takes his job back for his family, lost in a car accident. He's now a clean and all-set-to nab all dirty guys around.

Aditya Pancholi fails to support his character Loarsa Biscuta. Bipasha is ok, while Rana Duggabati (as Joki) is average. Abhishesk Bachhan is someone who lives up to a rough and tough young cop who's impossible to be tricked. The film has a great background scores but bores you with random full sized songs which is out of fashion now.
The film is in and out enjoyable as a technically strong one with excellent cinematography, a kickass screenplay and keeps you at the-edge-of-the-seat drama. But it sucks when it comes to the plot and story. The only thing saves this story a bit is the way it is told.
You will enjoy the pace of the film which doesn't let you think what's gonna happen though it doesn't have much to surprise. Barbosa is a suspense character which generates a bit of an intrigue and opens with a good surprise in the end. It will never bore you.
Overall, Dum maro dum is a supercool film with no memorable dialogues except a few, or no great plot which supports it's style. Watch it for Abhishek Bacchan and you will not regret. Sure go for it if you are dying to see a refreshing content after the exams and cricket season slowdown.
My rating for this one: 2.5 stars
